Incase Compass Backpack
Incase Compass backpack review
The Incase Compass is a laptop backpack for those who need reliable daily carry that looks as good as it functions.

Compass backpack: 24 liters
Compass Dot: 13 liters

What we like
Stylish modern design.
Main compartment is spacious enough for tech, books, and personal items while still keeping a slim profile.
Laptop and top pockets are lined with a super soft faux-fur.
What we don’t like
No side water bottle pockets
Not the best construction quality for Incase, but the Compass is also one of the more affordable Incase bags.

What we like
Simple, stylish and mature daypack design. Great for college or work commutes.

Water bottle pockets aren’t gusseted and will dig into the backpack when carrying a water bottle or umbrella.

OGIO Alpha Convoy 320 Backpack
OGIO Alpha Convoy 320 backpack review
Inspired by tactical backpacks, the OGIO Alpha Convoy 320 is the more compact brother of the OGIO Alpha Convoy 525. Although smaller, it retains a lot of the features that made the 525 great; MOLLE webbing on the front for pouch attachments, reflective panels for safety, and a dedicated pocket for laptops up to 15-inches.
At 20-liters the OGIO Alpha Convoy 320 makes a great a daypack for school, commuting and daily carry.
What we like
Stylish tactical-inspired design
The Cordura EcoMade makes the bag feels durable and well-made.
Reflective material on the front of the bag is a nice touch. Great for city and campus commuters who often walk at night.
What we don’t like
Lack of organizer pockets - OGIO depends on the use of external MOLLE attachment pouches instead of including extra pockets.

Dimensions: 18.5” H x 12.5” W x 8.5” D

OGIO Alpha Convoy 525 Backpack
OGIO Alpha Convoy 525 backpack review
OGIO offers a stylish and versatile backpack with their Alpha Convoy 525 backpack. Its design is inspired by rugged tactical backpacks and includes elements such as MOLLE webbing for pouch attachments, a tough Cordura construction and “tactical” color options.
Although its design is heavily inspired by tactical bags, the Alpha Convoy 525 backpack is an urban daily backpack at heart with a dedicated padded laptop compartment, padded shoulder straps and handles and an anti-theft back pocket. Those who want an even more compact version of the Alpha Convoy should check out the OGIO Alpha Convoy 320 backpack.
What we like
Stylish tactical-inspired design
The Cordura EcoMade makes the bag feels durable and well-made.
Reflective material on the front of the bag is a nice touch. Great for city and campus commuters who often walk at night.
What we don’t like
Even though the 525 is the largest Alpha Convoy backpack, at only 25 liters it still feels too small.
Lack of organizer pockets - OGIO depends on the use of external MOLLE attachment pouches instead of including extra pockets.
SPECIFICATIONS
Dimensions: 20” H x 13” W x 9” D
Capacity: 25L

OGIO Renegade RSS Backpack
OGIO Renegade RSS laptop backpack review
The Renegade RSS is OGIO’s best selling laptop backpack thanks to its clever features that make tech carry a breeze.
One thing you’ll notice about the Renegade RSS is that it’s full of pockets and compartments that are lined and padded for items such as tablets, cameras and other electronics. The backpack gets its name from its RSS (Reactive Suspension System) laptop compartment that protects your laptop from bumps and drops. You also get a crush proof lined pocket for small things like sunglasses, point-and-shoot cameras or accessories. These features and more is why the OGIO Renegade RSS is one our favorite tech carry backpacks.
What we like
RSS laptop sleeve protects expensive laptops from bumps and falls
Tons of soft-lined pockets for other electronics like tablets, cameras and accessories.
What we don’t like
Lacks real side water bottle pockets which seems like a simple thing to get wrong.
Shoulder straps don’t extend far enough to comfortably fit big and tall people.
SPECIFICATIONS
Dimensions: 19.5” H x 14” W x 10.5” D
Capacity: 29.5L
Material: 600D Polyester Pindot
Weight: 3.5lbs
Laptop Compartment: Up to 15” and some thinner 17” laptops

North Face Router Transit Backpack
The North Face Router Transit backpack review
At 41 liters, the Router Transit is The North Face’s largest backpack offering. Much like the smaller North Face Surge, the Router Transit is a thoughtfully designed backpack with enough pockets, sleeves and compartments for today’s modern carry. The main compartment is massive making it perfect for busy students, commuters or multi-day travelers. A separate laptop zip compartment is padded, lined with fleece and made to withstand everyday bumps and falls while protecting the electronics inside.
What we like
Spacious main compartment with the right amount of pockets - perfect for school, travel or busy commuters who need to carry a lot.
Large padded and fleece-lined laptop compartment that does a good job protecting your laptop/tablet from bumps and falls.
What we don’t like
Huge main compartment goes deeper than most other backpacks - this means things can get easily lost in the abyss, especially smaller items.
Unless you have a larger frame, this backpack tends to sag when it starts to get heavy. Chest straps helps with this but it isn’t an ideal situation.
SPECIFICATIONS
Dimensions: 21.5” H x 14” W x 10” D
Capacity: 41L
Material: Varies per color

Incase City Backpack
Incase City backpack review
Incase’s City backpack was made with urban tech carry in mind and it shows. The City’s sleek and minimalist design is complimented Incase’s choice of durable 500D blended weave fabric. Inside you’ll find a laptop sleeve in the main compartment as well as multiple smaller pockets throughout the front of the bag for tech accessories and daily essentials.
The Incase City is offered in a few different sizes:
City backpack: 21 liters
City Compact: 17.5 liters
City Dot: 13 liters
The photos and specifications below are of the original 21 liter Incase City backpack.
What we like
Attractive minimalist design.
Plenty of front pockets for cables, power banks, chargers and other small items.
Laptop and tablet pockets are lined with a super soft faux-fur.
What we don’t like
No side water bottle pockets
Doesn’t fit all 17-inch laptops. Thicker 17-inch laptops may be too large for the laptop sleeve.

Great for commuters, travelers and students alike, the Gambit is full of different pockets, compartments and organizers for all of life’s daily essentials. Add in a roomy 33.5 liter main compartment and you have a workhorse of a backpack that can take on even your busiest days.
What we like
Lots and lots of pockets and organizers for items like sunglasses, electronics, and small daily items.
Thick padded shoulder straps and “HUB” back panel make the Gambit super comfortable to wear
What we don’t like
Laptop pocket is not as padded as the OGIO Renegade RSS and has little padding on the bottom to prevent damage from falls.
